Day Fourteen - Kitty

Day Fourteen - Kitty

This is a picture of my cat, Traveler. He rarely lets me take pictures of him. He hides in the ceiling and so his eyes are always watery from the dust. One day he'll learn!

Day Eleven - Yellow

Day Eleven - Yellow
Taken With: Canon Rebel T1i
Settings: Manual

Slowly I'm starting to get the hang of the Rebel. I was off to a bad start, but I'm slowly starting to learn the ways of the camera. This is a picture of some yellow flowers I found in my back yard; not quite sure what they actually are though.

Sewickley Fireworks

I was given a Rebel T1i to use to take pictures with. After having trouble with getting RAW images onto my computer, I decided to shoot in .jpeg format. Taking it to the fireworks in Sewickley on the waterfront, I had so much trouble with the camera and it being "busy". Not having a clue what that meant, I took plenty more pictures with my camera, Nikon Coolpix,  that came out a lot better than with the Rebel. Below are a select few from the show.

As I was feeding these little animals and taking pictures, one decided to get a closer look at my camera and insisted on trying to eat it.

Day Nine - Frustration

Day Nine - Frustration
Taken With: Canon EOS T1i
Settings: N/A

I was given a Canon Rebel T1i to use for the week. I thought today would be a good day to test it out and get to know it; I was wrong. I was told to shoot in RAW and apparently my computer hates RAW and I don't have the disk to upload the software for it to read RAW. So, I spend well over an hour trying to figure it out and failed. Becoming frustrated, I took a .jpeg photo of the thing closest to me; my favorite water it the world - Clear American. It's been a long night; better photography promised on another day.

This is my dog Sarge; I call him "Buppy". He sleeps in my bed, under blankets, on a daily basis. He's extremely spoiled but I love him nonetheless!

Day Five - Lonely Flower

Day Five - Lonely Flower
Taken With: Nikon Coolpix P100
Settings: Shutter-priority Auto

I went up Duquesne Incline today. My favorite picture wasn't of the city skyline, but rather it was of a lonely flower; a flower saved by someone. It was placed in a water bottle sitting on top of what looks to be type of valve on the wall.

I was lying on the porch with my dog today when I noticed this statue next to my porch; I know, I live there and I've never noticed it before. There is just something about this statue that draws me to it.

I went to Frankfort Mineral Springs today at Raccoon Park. I was taking tons of pictures while walking down the path. I didn't notice these mushrooms at first, but I turned around to look at the fallen tree I just photographed and noticed them; one of the many other forms of life out there.
